Ta-da!

Our latest and last issue as a PDF. This marks a new beginning for us, and marks the actual 2-month countdown for the opening of yam-mag.com, which actually is kinda nerve-racking. As we work on the actual website now, you can Follow us on Twitter, and/or join us on Facebook.
In this issue, McNeil from The Dark of the Matinee gives us a look at what was the Toronto Film Festival this year, and gives his thoughts on Let Me In (out in theaters in America), Black Swan (out in December in America), and Norwegian Wood (out in December in Japan).
We’ve also got a review for Jack Goes Boating from our new writer Dr. T, as well as a review for the manga series Uzumaki courtesy of Camiele White. On the music side of business, Luis is reviewing Brandon Flowers, Acid Android, Klaxons, Linkin Park and Maroon 5.
Welcome, you guys to the YAM team.
We’ve also got reviews for 2ne1, Robyn, Kangta, Isaac Delgado, Weeds, The Big C, Atami no Sousakan and more! If you’ve forgotten about our Yu Aoi Uso. Pop-up Book Giveaway, details are inside!

Well, I’m 37min. past my deadline. Sorry about that.

We’ve got our very first exclusive! I got a chance to chat with Grammy/Golden Globe/Academy Award winner/nominee Diane Warren. And besides the fact that I forgot how to talk and think in English, it went pretty well.
We are also covering a bit on the Lima Film Festival, which just wrapped up their 14th edition. Plus reviews for some of the very best of the blockbuster season in America… and a surprise review for Aftershocks, the very first IMAX release made in China.
In the music section we are reviewing our usual Asian suspects, including Taeyang with his solo debut, the boys from SHINee, Bibi Zhou (pictured multiple times on the cover), Jing Chang, The Derek Trucks Band, Macy Gray, and more! Plus, reviews for Bad Guy, Time of Eve, and Yu Aoi’s Uso. pop-up book – which we have ONE COPY to give away.
Details on the giveaway, inside the issue. ;P

Hey, guys~
decided to release this YAM a little early, because well… we finished it a little early, and the 15th seems so far away, and we didn’t want to release it tomorrow because it’s the 13th, and we hate unlucky numbers. Plus, this is a 10-10 issue! And you know what they say about double digits…
On this issue we’ve got reviews for most of the summer blockbuster films, except of course… the ones opening this weekend. But we do talk about Prince of Persia, Robin Hood, Iron Man 2, Kick-Ass, and the likes. We also talk a LOT about music, including Julz Kpop adventures, and my reviews for a variety of music, including Yuguo and Zhonguo Feng idol Jay Chou. We also talk about television shows beginning with American shows, South Korea’s, Japan’s, and Peru’s.
Oh yeah, and we read a book! LOL
What are you waiting for?

I’m releasing YAM009 today because the electricity company sent a notice saying they’ll be doing some maintenance work and will be cutting energy around midnight of the 15th… which would be about now if it were tomorrow…
Anyway, on this YAM we’ve got the usual contributors. Thank you guys for supporting the project.
This time around we’ve got talks about fansubs [fan-made-subtitles], and reviews for Shutter Island, City of Life and Death, Legion, the documentary on The White Stripes, the Japanese drama Perfect Girl Evolution, comments on the latest season of Desperate Housewives, House M.D, and United States of Tara… as well as reviews for many other albums including Bi Rain, Tete and Aleks Syntek. Plus MORE~
